spend some time at an adult group home with mental illness residents.

As a society, we tend to push mental patients into the background and ignore them, shading our eyes from them. My photographs are to show that the group home residents are caught in mental illness but at the same time are people.

I had no control on how the residents reacted to the camera and tried to capture the residents in their natural safe group home environment.

After leaving the group home with the mental illness residents, I was very thankful there are people that care for the mentally ill, treat them like family and do not turn the blind eye on them.
